FALL HOOPSTER LEAGUE INFORMATION!

program overview - big picture

Hillside Connection collaborates with school districts in Southern Colorado Springs to bring a one of a kind competitive play experience to 4th/5th grade boys and girls in the community. This isn’t about the “AAU Traveling Basketball Program” or money maker. Our goal is to help BUILD COMMUNITY and SCHOOL PRIDE to a struggling youth sports culture in Southern Colorado Springs.  Every kid deserves access to quality sports programming!

“According to Aspen Institute’s Project Play: 12% of households in the U.S. do not spend money on their child’s sport, while the national annual cost per sport exceeds $690 from ages 1-18, with some families paying up to $35,000 per year. The study also notes that children who are physically active score up to 40% higher on standardized tests, are 15% more likely to go to college and earn on average 7-8% more annually.”  Learn more here
